Four Charged In Connection To June Murder In Maryland: Sheriff

Four people have been charged for their alleged roles in the June death of 24-year-old Deangelo C’Quan Beale in Charles County, the sheriff’s office announced.

Members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office were called at approximately 5:45 a.m. on Friday, June 9, to the 2500 block of Lake Drive in Waldorf, where there was a reports of shots fired with at least one person down.

Upon arrival at the apartment complex, investigators found Beale, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation was launched, which led to multiple state and federal indictments for eight suspects, four of whom have been arrested and charged:

  • Desmond Evans, 18, of Washington, DC;

  • Kevon Jackson, 23, of Hyattsville;
  • Ramel Henderson, 19, of Bowie;
  • 16-year-old from Washington, DC. 

During the arrest, search warrants were served at various locations throughout Maryland and DC which resulted in the seizure of 14 guns, a large amount of marijuana, and additional evidence linking the suspects to the murder, officials said.

Charges are pending.
